Specifically, this study aims to achieve objectives:1. Determine the profile of the Physical Education Teachers/ Professors in terms of: 1.1 Sex1.2 Age1.3 Socio- economic status1.
4 Years of Teaching Experience2. Identify the teaching strategies of college teachers in eight (8) Higher Education Institutions in the National Capital Region.3. Develop an innovative instructional module for physical education in tertiary level.4. Validate an innovative instructional module from among experts.

Present the innovative instructional module.SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDYFor the physical education teachersThis could serve as a standard guide in teaching physical education in tertiary level.For the entire university systemThis could be an important tool or guide that could help in assessing and evaluating students in physical education subjects.This study therefore is significant in improving effective and innovative teaching strategies in physical education in the tertiary level.The module and the innovative instructional material can be duplicated for other purposes to help PE teachers/professors in teaching physical education.
SCOPE AND LIMITATIONThis study was limited for College PE teachers from eight selected colleges and universities in NCR who taught in academic year 2011-2012.The survey was limited to use of the survey questionnaire. The research aimed to find the status of the respondents’ teaching strategies, needs and problems encountered in teaching physical education in the tertiary level.METHODOLOGYThe study utilized the descriptive type of research.
The reason for using this method is that, this study attempted to determine the profile of the College Physical Education Teachers to be able to assess and evaluate the effective teaching strategies in physical education and develop an innovative instructional module in the College Service Physical Education subjects.The sources of data of this study will PE teachers from eight selected colleges and universities in NCR who are currently teaching in academic year 2011-2012. The research aimed to find the status of the respondents’ teaching strategies, needs and problems encountered in teaching physical education in the tertiary level.This study will evaluated through the using the inventory checklist.
The checklist interview guide will be used. It will contain the fill-in-response (checked answer portion) that pertains to the respondents’ profile; sex, age, socio- economic status and years of teaching experience.After basing from the data gathered, an effective teaching tool in an innovative instructional material form will be planned and developed.To further validate the innovative instructional material, the researcher will ask the help of the Physical Education teachers, information technologist, and other professionals for their opinions, comments, and recommendations.The interviews will be the bases of the researcher in the preparation of the development of an innovative instructional material in the College Service Physical Education.Statistical Treatment of DataThe formula below will be used to compute percentage scores:% = f x 100, where % = percentage scoreNWhere: f = frequency or number of responsesN = total number of respondents
