Attack He was trapped. One of his

Attack on America by Mary Gow, September 11, 2001 Tuesday at
Logan International Airport in Boston. This day was the day we were attacked by
terrorist. They flew 2 planes into the twin towers. The first one that was hit
they thought it was an accident until the second one hit. Hundreds of people
died or got injured on impact. The others were trapped in the building. There
was a guy in the basement, he didn’t know what happened all he heard was a big
noise. All of a sudden a loud roar was getting louder he looked down the hall
and a big what seemed like a fireball came so fast down the hallway he didn’t
know what to do. He was trapped. One of his workers were calling for him he got
out and helped many more get out too. Mike Hingson was in the tower at the of the
bombing, he’s blind. His guide dog Roselle had to get him out from the 78th
floor of the north tower. He got out safe and so did his dog. Everyone was very
helpful to them. “It was hot in the stairwells and the smell of jet fuel was
very strong. People passed along water bottles to Hingson so that both he and
the dog could drink.”

            Lisa Beamer
and her two kids live alone now bc there dad was on flight 93. Andrew(there
dad) was someone who tried to fight the hijackers. The hijackers had
knifes.  Thousands of people flooded the
Brooklyn bridge on a mass pilgrimage of Manhattan on the morning of 9/11. The
Bridge had debri all over it. It was hard to breathe all around the tower.
Everything was dust filled people couldn’t see or breathe. 2996 people died in the twin tower attack. Including the 19
terrorist who hijacked the plane. President Bush was in Florida during the
attack. He came back when he heard  the
news but had military jets following him just in case they tried to kill the
president. 9/11 was the deadliest day for New York FireFighters over 300 were
killed trying to save other due to the building falling.

As the evacuation of the tower and its twin got underway,
television cameras broadcasted live images of what initially appeared to be a
freak accident. Then, 18 minutes after the first plane hit, a second Boeing 767
United Airlines Flight 175 appeared out of the sky, turned sharply toward the
World Trade Center and sliced into the south tower near the 60th floor.

            Heroes
from 9/11. Jeremy Glick always liked comic book heroes. On his birthday
September 3, 2001 click celebrated his 31st birthday. He spent most of that day
on a boat with friends. All of them dressed as superheroes.  Jeremy dressed as Green Lantern for his
party. Eight days after his birthday, Jeremy became a real life superhero.
Glick was aboard the United Airlines Flight 93 in Newark, New Jersey, shortly
before 8:00 A.M. in September 11, 2001. The flight was going to San Francisco,
But around 9:45 Glick used his phone to call his wife, Lyzbeth, back in New
Jersey. She was staying with her parents while he was out of town. He called
and said that his plane had been hijacked by three Middle Eastern men in red
bandanas. They all had knives and said they had a bomb. Other passengers who
made calls on the phone told him that two planes crashed into the twin towers.
He asked his wife if they were telling the truth and she told him yes. Jeremy
told his wife they wanted to jump the hijackers. He wished his wife a happy
life and told her to take care of there 3 month old child.

Kelly Leverknight was watching the news and
she heard the roar of the close plane ahead that was heading for the school and
three of her children went there. The school had 501 kids in it. Seconds later
at 10:06 Flight 93 crashed into a empty field 2 miles short of the school. No
one on the ground died but everyone on the plane did. At least 3 other people
are also believed to have participated with Jeremy Glick in resisting the
terrorists aboard Flight 93; Tom Burnett,
Mark Bingham, and Todd Beamer. Todd Beamer had used an airplane phone to
contact GTE Airfone operator Lisa Jefferson. He said that a group of men aboard
the plane were going to resist the hijackers. He told them there going to do
something. He said that he knows he’s not getting out of this. Before they went
they left the phone on with Beamer’s wife and Beamer said “Let’s Roll” and she
knew it was Beamer that said it because her kids say lets roll all the
time.

            All
of these terrorist attacks are bad days in history that we got threw. All that
remained from the Twin Towers was 1.7 million tons of degree. Later in the
evening less than twelve hours after the first plane had struck the World Trade
Center, President Bush addressed the country from the White house in Washington
D.C.   Bush said ” Today our nation saw
evil, the very worst of human nature. And we responded with the best of
America.”  America will never be the same
after September 11, 2001.
