I Believe Essay
I believe that parents are the most influential people in a teenagers life. Without my parents I would not be the person I am today. Knowing that there is always someone to talk to about anything whenever I need to is the greatest feeling in the world. Some people do not have loving parents, while others don’t have parents at all. I am very fortunate to have such a caring support system in my life. There are endless reasons why parents are important. My parents take care of me, teach me valuable life lessons, and help prepare me to become a future parent.
A cozy cloud like bed to sleep in, fresh homemade meals on the table, and a sturdy roof over my head, someone to talk to when I had a horrible day; without my parents I wouldn’t have any of these. Whether my parents work over time and grind out extra hours to make some surplus money or wash my clothes to keep them smelling clean and looking brand new, they are always looking for things to do to take care of me. When I was younger and I needed rides to a friends house or to one of my basketball practices my mom would have the car up and running in the blink of an eye. There are always going to be those days when you have that gloomy sad feeling lingering over you. Whenever I have one of those days my mom is always there for me. She always finds a way to cheer me up and make me feel better. Without my parents I would not have anyone to take care of me and count on. –relevant details
Throughout the years my parents have taught me many valuable life lessons. The first thing my parents taught me as a kid was that I needed to learn how to share and treat everyone with equality. From a young age I tried to include everyone in anything that I did and treat everyone with equal respect. Everyone deserves to be treated equally. My parents also always told me to treat adults with respect and refer to them by mister and miss. Now that I am older they are great about talking to me about my future and sharing experiences that they have been through to help me out with my journey.
They are really good at helping me make decisions that have a big impact on how the rest of my life will play out. Money won’t determine how happy you are in life is a saying that my dad seems to live by and that’s how I feel about life. My dad is my role model and I want to be just like him when I grow up. He has taught me how to be a respectable young man, how to treat others the way you want to be treated, details needed here. specific examples.and most importantly he has taught me to do whatever it takes to achieve something that I really want. My mom and dad have always said that they will love me no matter what I choose to do with my life. I am excited to start the next chapter in my life because I know that they will be behind me one hundred percent and will always have my back. They are the best at teaching me life lessons and they are really great at helping me grow as a person.
The way my parents have raised me has made me realize that I want to raise my kids the same way some day. Fall Sunday mornings with the crisp cool breeze sweeping through the neighborhood were always reserved for football in the backyard. My brothers and I wearing our favorite NFL players jersey playing games of two hand touch football against each other with my dad being the quarterback. The smiles and laughter were never ending as we dashed for the endzone and shimmied out our best touchdown dances over and over each weekend. That is something that I want to do with my kids when I decide to settle down and start a family. Besides being able to play games with my kids I want to be able to take care of them as well as possible. My parents have shown me how to take care of children and I am going to use the same parenting style when I start my own family.
I believe that my parents are the most important people in my life. They take care of me, teach me valuable life lessons, and help prepare me to become a parent someday. Without them I would be nowhere near where I am today. I can’t imagine life without them and I am proud to call them my mom and my dad. Everyone needs parents to grow up with, or at least someone who they can treat as a parent, they drastically change your life for the better.
