By giving families the opportunity to let their kids gain access to education, children can explore many new things that they have not known about in many aspects.In the world, there are 70 million children who cannot go to school, which will turn into 70 million adults who will not live high quality lives in the future. Children are the future of country. By not be able to offer 70 million children to attend school means the world has lost 70 million talents who could elevate the world into something more remarkable and exceptional .If they cannot go to school, how can they obtain enough necessary knowledge to face the society full of traps and pitfall? Which jobs are they going to do in the future? Will those jobs give them better lives?   Not only will attending schools extend children’s life chances, children can make new friends, and initiate new bonds with other children from many communities. For children, making friends is a vital part of growing up and an essential part of their social and emotional development.

Attributes such as social dexterity, self-esteem, altruism and self-determination have all been found to be positively correlated to having friends. Besides, friendship is good for your health. Studies have proven that children who frequently played with friends were far less likely to low self-esteem, feeling self-conscious or lack of enjoyment. However, some parents seem to scorn the importance of this and still keep their children at home. Tyrannical. Having no friends can be as deadly as smoking. Do they want to see their kids  sitting in a corner of the room despondently and watch them grow up to have no idea about what happens around them? According to UNICEF, these are the percentages of poorest females with range of age from 7 to 16 who have never been to school: In Liberia – 77%, in Niger- 78%, or even worse, in Somalia – 95%.

This is preposterous. Some people still hold beliefs that the role of women is to stay at home doing housework and raising kids. With education, women can be as good as men.

There are many examples of famous women who have succeed and sacrificed their whole lives to eliminate gender inequality includes Oprah Winfrey, Malala Yousafzai, Hillary Clinton,.. In addition, plenty of countries are starting the act of omitting gender gap. In Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and Libya, there are more girls in secondary schools than boys.

In Indonesia, boys and girls are proportionate. Hence, by allowing women attending schools, gender chasm can be erased and everyone can be equal. I want to ask all the girls: If you are not allowed to go to school just because you are girls, how would you feel? It is such a radical idea to let girls stay at home, doing housework and get married. It will not turn their lives better.Some people have rolled their sleeves to solve this problem: According to WE organization – Over the past 13 years: 60 million more children now have access to education. Nevertheless, it causes some issues, and one of them is discrimination amongst students and teachers.

Nowadays a large part of school are still order high experienced teachers teaching good students and let the least effective at least experienced teachers to teach the lack of needs students. This never work with education equality but many school still do largely because it is effective for both appeasing parents with high qualified students, high experience teachers, as well as keeping the schools’ reputation. What is important here is children need to attain knowledge and skills that they can apply to their own situation. In those countries, 50% of the children can’t go to school and 20% of the children can go to primary but whether or not they can follow their study career when they are older is still a mystery. Moreover, due to the fact that wars and conflicts occur abruptly, many children cannot routinely go to school: Even though families want to put children into schools as they don’t want to send their children out on the streets or join armed groups, yet it was too dangerous to refuge on perilous boats to far and obscure land to join schools. Due to conflicts, many schools were bombed or being taken as military bases. Recently, there is a report shows that 20% of Yemen’s population is children at the age of 10-19 are the one who thirsts desperately for knowledge. Jameela, a teacher quoted in the report said, “I have seen children trying to write on the ground because they want to learn so much”. If children love that schools that much, why don’t we give them the access to education, so that they can attain more and more knowledge.

The one that is being affected most heavily is the future generations. From UNICEF, 14 million children suffered hardship and trauma as a results of war in Syria and Iraq. A recent survey of BBC shows that 80000 Iraqi children had lost one or both of their parents. A 12 years old boy, Saif, who had lost both of his parents and got injured during war in 2005 said: “I was small. A man came and took me away and afterwards told me what had happened to my mother and father. There is no life when you’ve lost your mother and father.” I’m sure that other children who lost their parents also have that feeling.

“Education is the key to unlock other human rights”. There are still many problems which need people in the next generation like us to solve. Without education, how can they fight, raise their voices for their country.
