It is known that children start life with greater vulnerability. To grow toward independence, children must rely on adult for the nurturing, protection, and guidance. Childhood is a period of rapid and delicate development of mind and body, and consist of a time when skill builds on skill, but when disadvantage can also build on disadvantage.* Failure to protect and promote the well-being of children in a physical, emotional, social and cognitive way is associated with increased risk across a wide range of later-life outcomes. Although, as one of the most prosperous and democratic countries in the world, Canada lags far behind the wealthier nations. Ranked 25th out of 41 industrialized countries*. We must take urgent action to invest in our youngest citizens by sensitizing our society. Along with talk about our government indifference toward children helpless position, as well as my personal witnesses into their daily struggle. It is a national issue that Canadian youth welfare middle ranking hadn’t improve in years. It is said that nearly 1 out of 5 Canadian children live in poverty along with teens that seriously considered suicide in the prior year*. Moreover, 1 out of 3 Canadien has experienced some form of child abuse as well as children who require food assistance, while the other same percentage are obese*. At last, one child dies every 9 hours from preventable injuries*. As this statistic confirm it well, Canadien children are among the unhappiest. When children view their life satisfaction, the ranking drops to 24 out of 29 countries and 25 out of 29 in the league table of children relationship with parents and peers*. These statistics represent millions of children whose lives are ruin each day by problems we know how to solve. As part of the student council, I’ve got the opportunity to witness the struggle of the student daily life as in breakfast committee, which many seeked breakfast support because there didn’t eat at home. Along with Discussion about aboriginal origin student who required extra assistance because of the particular reason to miss school. We also discuss putting aside money for those with a disability. Further, we had a meeting about those who pursue financial aid to afford school supply and programme and classes. As well as a conflict about discrimination to new immigrant, and talk about youth desire to have more opportunity for the voice to behear. Proving how much children welfare must be taken more seriously because the struggle is real.In 1991, Canada ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, binding our country under international law. It provides a framework for governments to give priority to the best interests of children in all decisions, to translate children’s Convention rights into law, and to treat children as a partner in developing policies transforming them. Following that a basic quality of life should be the right of all children, instead of a privilege enjoyed by a few. Unfortunately, Canada refuses to adopt some of the UNC Law marked a broken promise made to the most vulnerable in our society. In addition, the minister of youth admitted having a mandate that doesn’t include children under the age of 16. Canada has also ratified or acceded specific treaties that recognize the unique rights of specific peoples. Being represented as a vast population, children shouldn’t be rejected this way, as they are meant to occupy their place in the society. The feasible solution will be to adopt the Canadian Children’s Charter. This highlight from the guideline will make sure that we envision a Canada where children’s’ voices are empowered and valued as equal citizens, decision makers, and leaders. Where we are available to access high-quality health care and education systems care no matter where they live. Along with mental health education, services, and treatment. We look up to a country where young people and adults know how to foster healthy relationships and can grow up free from all forms of violence and abuse, and are protected when needed. Finally, a nation which everyone recognizes their duty in reconciliation and takes action accordingly. At last, with the presence of a charter, the government will be able to measure the progress or the lack of it and presents the data and analysis clearly and regularly for public monitoring and debate. Moreover, they must be a legal requirement for an educational professional to teach Canadien children their right and the government of Canada must thereby act on when failing to meet this basic right of the child. In conclusion, the optimal development of children is crucial to the well-being of any society. The quality of early childhood development has a strong influence on children’s eventual contribution, or cost, to society over the course of their lives. Therefore, the government must act out by educating Canadian citizen about the state of our nation and making them respect, protect and fulfill the eventual children charter as a law for the next generation of leaders, parents, workers and effective citizens. We must hold our government accountable to keep their promises to kids.
