LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

 

As a Senior Team Leader within the Advanced Services group of
Cisco Systems, it’s my pleasure to write this letter intended to provide the
highest recommendation of Utsav.

Utsav worked in my Team
for over two and a half years, and he was responsible for the testing and validation
of Cisco products’ and solutions in Reliance-Jio project- India’s largest 4G/LTE
deployment. This solution validation effort was built over multiple service
provider technologies including several ISIS, MPLS, BGP, PTP, BNG and
Datacenter technologies

He has the capability to accomplish
tasks assigned to him with minimum guidance, making him intellectually independent.

At the same time, he shows the an important character to be a team person and
work cohesively with his colleagues in achieving the targets. In a very time-crunch
situation, working for Reliance-Jio, Utsav has proved to be a vital asset
wherein he is able to get testbeds up and find critical issues well before
deployment. His skills in automation and scripting has helped us complete
testing for various software releases within weeks, which would otherwise had
taken months to be finished. This combination of skills and working hard has
won him several appreciation awards from his manager and team mates.

He has also proved his
caliber as an effective mentor by helping newly hired employees and interns
with knowledge transitions and getting them up to the speed quickly. He guides the
junior members of team to test with proper pre-checks and post checks to ensure
that new changes do not impact the production system. Simultaneously he also
works on Test Planning, Configuration and Defect Resolution – tasks that are
generally handled by more experienced folks in global team. He shows a lot of
interest in defects resolving, having not only resolved many in a short span of
time but also making sure that they do not recur in the future. He had also
initiated the procedure of documenting the changes in a lucid way for future
reference, which would be understandable to a non-technical professional too.

Utsav is a creative
person with a passion for technology. I would like to highlight a special case
where he took deep interest in finding out QoS issues in all Provider edge
routers in Reliance-Jio’s 4G pan-India network. This was not an easy find and
was only unearthed because of Utsav’s unflinching commitment towards his work.

I have found him to be a
reliable, hardworking and dedicated member of my team. Hence, I strongly
recommend his application to your esteemed university, which would help him in
improving his knowledge and in realizing his dreams.
