It is both an honor and a privilege to be here tonight with you, and to have the chance to share a little bit about who I am in this community. was born and raised here in Charlottesville, Virginia, and I a m blessed to be able to live in a community full of diversity and opportunities to help those around m e. As for family, have a twin brother named Arnold, and an older brother named Marvin.

My mom is n astonishing woman who is always giving back to others, and I’m very fortunate to have a role mod el like her. I’m interested in many activities such as, spending time with friends and family, pl aying soccer and volunteering! am dedicated to helping and improving the world around us, and am able t o do so through programs I am involved in such as, YADAPP. YADAPP is an annual summer leadership conference empowering teens to keep their schools and communities alcohol and drug fr ee by taking positive peer leadership roles.

My peers and I created a club at our school called STAND , which has the same goals YADAPP . I was appointed VicePresident, which was a great opportunity to help me gai n stronger leadership skills. In addition to this, I am also a longtime member of the AVID Program. AVID stands for Advanced Via Individual Determination. is an elective class offered to students who would like to prepare for a fouryear college.
