Step 3 – Building the outer right leg

Attach the inner shelf support
to the upper part of the inner leg. make sure it is parallel to the outer
support. Drill the inner leg through the inner shelf support with two 5″
wood screw to hold them in place.

Step 5 – Connecting the two end sections

Place the two end section
26″ apart with their inner shelf support facing each other.
b.
Attach one cross support on the
front top end of the outer legs and another cross support on the back top end
of the outer legs to connect the two end sections. Drill each outer leg through
the cross support with two 3″ wood screw to hold them in place.
c.
At the back portion, 6″
from the bottom end of the outer leg place one cross support parallel to the
cross support at the top. Drill each outer leg through the bottom cross support
with two 3″ wood screw to hold them in place.
Step 6 – Placing the shelf and table top
a.
Attach one shelf on the left
side. place the notched side facing the outer legs. Drill each side of the
shelf through the supports with 2″ wood screw to hold them in place.
b.
Attach one shelf on the right
side. place the notched side facing the outer legs. Drill each side of the
shelf through the supports with 2″ wood screw to hold them in place.
c.
Lay the table top above the
table frame. you will have 1″ overhang on front and each sides of the
table top. Drill each end of the table top aligned with the outer legs with
2″ wood screw.
Step 7 – Finishing
a.
Sand the whole desk using a
fine grit sandpaper before applying stain or paint to the wood.
