The global market Essay

The global market continues to change the focus of the goals and objectives set within the structure of organizations. The structure of an organization must be built on awareness of the quality and performance of competing business in order for the company to have long term success (Birr, 2008). The rise of the business’ success is depends on the goals being pursued and implementation of methods developed to achieve those goals. Poor planning in the context of reaching goals often results in poor organizational performance.

A solid understanding of organizational psychology is needed for the management to be more effective. Knowledge of organizational psychology within an organization’s management team helps in making managing the employee behavior. Knowledge or organizational psychology can also help keep the employees more motivated and boost the organization’s employee productivity level. The following simulation addresses the hindering of structure progression that can be the result of a satisfaction imbalance of the workers.

If the employees are having difficulties completing tasks efficiently and effectively it is important that they inform the management team of the situation. If management is not informed of the difficulties it can put the company at a high risk for being in a state of low productivity. The Situation In this proposed situation a company named Airdevils Incorporated uses a number of innovative stunts that the business is based on. Airdevils Incorporated is a business that serves the marketing and film industries.

This organization has a variety of aerial stunts that are highly regarded in the film and marketing industries. Airdevils Inc. has made some impressive accomplishments in the global market and now new prospective clients are becoming interested in the quality of the service the company offers. In the last two years financial periods Airdevils has dealt with a problem of underperforming revenues. Many of the employees at the top level of Airdevils are dissatisfied and are looking to work for other firms in the industry.

The reason behind the employees’ dissatisfaction with their jobs at Airdevils is that there is no ample opportunity for growth or advancement within the entire organization (University of Melbourne, 2011). To make sure that the issues within the organization are dealt with effectively in the context of job satisfaction all the company’s employees have been required to take a survey indexing the individual’s compatibility to his or her job title and description. The result of the survey was that the overall satisfaction level of all employees at Airdevil, Inc. was very low.

Managements slow response to the small problems among the workers have led to more major concerns because of the extended period of time they were not dealt with. The survey that Airdevils, Inc. conducted showed that stunt performers are listed at the top of the most dissatisfied work groups in the world. Some internet articles give backing to the stunt performers who usually openly express their discontent while performing the job duties.. Celsey Evans, a staff member on the senior level, contacted a consulting firm in an attempt to improve the performance of the organization and has decided to contact an organizational psychologist.

The Recommended Solutions The highly effect consulting firm, Dream Teamwork, has a chief executive officer whose goal has been to help organizations with their structure in order to improve the human behavior and the productivity of the employees. Dream Teamwork has been working in this fielf for more than twenty years. It is very important that Airdevils, Inc. regain the productivity that made it a successful business in the global market. There are some factors of the business that need to be addressed before there are any changes in the business’ performance.

It is in the best interest of the company to hire a counselor that can analyze the Airdevils, Inc. structure and take the necessary actions that will help strengthen both the policies and the workforce. An important idea that can empower a business to create new ideas is flexibility. One step that needs to be taken to analyze the workforce of Airdevils, Inc. is a personality assessment of the staff members at the upper levels of the organization (University of Phoenix, 2011). Other evaluations can be done to measure the stress of the employees as well.

In order to apply organizational psychology at Airdevils, Inc. it is important that all of the disadvantages of the company are explored and evaluated. Identifying and evaluating these disadvantages is an acceptable way to begin building a strategy that can solve the problems within Airdevils, Inc. Evaluation of the Aridevils, Inc. employees revealed a situation where the employees were not motivated because of their lack of satisfaction with their jobs. Procedures that measure the workers’ performance barriers at the psychosomatic level were used.

In order to build a stronger structure one suggestion is to match the stunt team workers with other workers that are psychologically compatible. Each employee has a different level of stress capacity. In order to apply organizational psychology individual behavior needs to be distinguished from team behavior. Employee Motivation Assumptions Experience in the field of organizational psychology gives evidence that the employees at Aridevils, Inc will feel more satisfied if there was a reward system in place as a motivational factor.

Awarding the employees for productive behavior within the organization would not only motivate the individuals and the team to be more competitive but would also produce a more positive internal environment for the organization’s structure. Reward systems are very common in business today, both nationally and globally, and are a great motivator that can result in greater productivity (University of Melbourne, 2011). The structure of the reward system should be integrated into all aspects of the rest of the company’s structure. Affected people should be the both the employees and administration.

Policies and procedures also need to be put in place. Benefits will be awarded to employees with acceptable performance on their job duties. The employee’s work behavior can be improved through reward promotion. There are times when the employee cannot fulfill their responsibilities and rewards will not help. The reward program should be able to make employees feel more satisfied with their jobs, especially employees that have been at the company long-term. Some different categories of rewards are intangible, tangible, and compensation rewards.

The Results

Based on the results of the simulation insight has been gained into the cognition of the behavior at Airdevils, Inc. that helps build relationship improving strategies in for the employees. Work related stress on the employees can be reduced by applying organizational psychology. More than one effective solution will need to be implemented before the employees’ stress level is decreased and greater satisfaction is felt concerning their jobs. This is the first step in achieving satisfactory performance that will ensure effective and efficient effort on the part of the employees.
