My opinion on it was that this slapstick comedy was made a quick laugh and easy was to make money by adapting someone else’s work and changing the enre by just being over all more sill about it. It made him look insecure and nervous when he slouched in front the audience.

Throughout the dialogue he stuttered constantly which helped to solidify the image of a nervous fugitive on the run from the laws stupidity and the villians evil schemes. When Annabella Schmidt came on, she had a strong german accent and overbearing personality. She played her character as an extremely over the top stereotypical foreign spy looking out for the safety of the country.
