My sister is one of the reasons I want to be a teacher. Everyday she has many stories to tell me about her kids. She is always very eager to tell me how her students are learning as each day goes by, Even the one or two kids that struggle in her class. She gives them the confidence to master in the area they are struggling. My sister always says that a teacher is never done learning; she learns everyday with her kids. She always gives her kids the attention they do not receive at home.
She makes her kids feel welcome everyday they go into her classroom. Her students go home and all they do is talk about how their teacher is very nice and fun to be around. She has inspired me to be a great teacher like her. I look forward to them hugs, smiling faces and recognition from the kids. Another reason I would like to be a teacher is that I like the lifestyle that a teacher lives. I love the be around children and to be a part of their maturation.
Children are so precious and full of life. I have had the privilege to be a part of kids lives pretty much most of my life; from taking care of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Church has given me the opportunity to enhance my skills and my desire to one day become a teacher. Kids are always there to bring a smile to your face when you are feeling down. I like the fact that working around children can keep you young at heart.
